The Original Salmon Cam

Salmon Cam is active Monday through Friday from ~6:00am-3:00pm (PST)

(except school holidays or when there is a substitute teacher) Due to the high volume of visitors, Salmon Cam will be on before 6:00am and extending past 3:00pm (pst) during some days!

We received our steelhead trout eggs on 02/25!
Most of the steelhead have hatched and are hiding in the rocks...look carefully and you may see a tail move or a fish swim out from the rocks! You will see a orange color yolk sac on their bellies. They use this a nourishment, just like when you eat food!

Salmon Cam is made possible by partnerships and donations! The salmon eggs come from our over 15 year partnership with the California Department of Fish and Game. Our website and email were donated by Coastal Web Online, PetSmart donated our mini-hatchery tank, 1AVStreamer software for video streaming was donated by PCWinSoft Systems Ltd, and we are using a old HP computer. Our computer is having problems keeping up with the number of visitors and we are trying to find a newer computer to use for our program.
